New Paragraph
WHAT IS THE IAS? AND HOW DO I CONTACT THEM?
The
IAS (Independent Appeals Service) is a certified Alternative Dispute Resolution entity. Meaning, it is a group of independent adjudicators who will decide if a Parking Charge has been issued within the parameters set out in the IPC’s Code of Practice and the law. The IAS adjudicators can only consider (make decisions) on legal matters, and can not intervene for mitigating circumstances (personal reasons why the motorists feels they should be exempt). The Independent Appeals Service provides the ability for people who have received a Parking Charge Notice to appeal against it.
The International Parking Community (IPC) provides the electronic services to the IAS to facilitate the processing of the appeals. However, the online appeals system fully automates the processing of the appeal. Only the person appealing, the Operator who issued the charge and the Adjudicator have any influence in the outcome ensuring complete separation from the IPC.
If you would like to find out more information about the different schemes that are available, please contact the IPC Membership Team by completing the form and let's talk about your needs.
Do not use this to lodge an appeal or complaint see the FAQ's where you will find a comprehensive section to answer any questions that you may have and provide instructions on how to submit an appeal or complaint.
