ABOUT US

The IPC Vision

Supporting Our Members to Constantly Improve Parking Industry Standards Whilst Providing Advice For Government And Consumer Groups.

Helping to create fairness, transparency and high standards for the Private Parking Industry

We are one of the 2 DVLA Accredited Trade Associations for the Private Parking Industry. The IPC ensure our members, who run and manage private car parks and land do so within our Code of Practice.   Ensuring our members uphold standards when they install signage to inform motorists how to be compliant and subsequently when pursuing non-compliant motorists. This includes mandating access to an independent adjudicator should the motorist contest any parking charge issued.

The International Parking Community (IPC) is DVLA Accredited Trade Association (ATA). This means that because we the IPC have set standards and practices our members can access DVLA data as they adhere to our Code of Practice.

We are a Trade Association, not a regulatory body. This means that whilst we will address concerns raised about our members’ working practices that are not in compliance with our Code of Practice, we will not deal with complaints about individual Parking Charge Notices.  If you have a concern, appeal or complaint concerning a Parking Charge please contact the IAS.

Our Values

Our priority is to maintain high standards and conduct within the Private Parking industry.  We ensure our members can manage sites in an effective way, whilst making the terms clear for motorists.  This ensures motorists can park where they need to when accessing the NHS, local high street and other facilities. We also ensure motorists are given the opportunity to appeal, should they feel a Parking Charge has been issued in error or outside of the Code of Practice.
