The IPC’s Compliance scheme was introduced to allow parking operators who are not members of the IPC’s Accredited Operator Scheme access to an accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution appeals service as, although the IPC is not the only Accredited Trade Association for the parking sector, it is the only such organisation to provide an appeals service that is independently accredited by the Certified Trading Standards Institute under The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015 and The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Amendment) Regulations 2015.

Compliance Scheme members are not obliged to operate within the IPC’s Code of Practice, but do have their standard documentation audited to ensure compliance with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
